List five characters you'd want on your side in any kind of trouble. Bonus points for assembling an "Action Team" with complimentary skills.

1: Methos (Highlander) - Old and sneaky beats young and brave any day! He plots; he plans; he avoids where he can and kills when he can't avoid.

2: Dean Winchester (Supernatural) - even if I wasn't totally enthralled by his absolute beauty, I'd want him for his dogged determination, his tenacity and his abilities in a fight, plus he's an excellent con artist.

3: Eliot (Leverage) - Ain't nobody can beat Eliot. The man is a lean, mean fighting machine.

4: Data (Star Trek TNG) - His positronic brain sets him light years ahead in any situation, plus he's nigh indestructible.

5: Alec X494 (Dark Angel) - Strength, agility and skill. What more could you want? And all in that gorgeously pretty package.

What I hear: The Boat that I Row - Neil Diamond

A year ago, my long time friend [info]sharonmarais died very suddenly of meningitis. Her husband, John is mounting a campaign to raise awareness of this horrid disease. To that end, he's written an open letter to the political candidates in his riding. I can't think of how to offer support other than asking any of you that can to do the same to your would-be MPs. If nothing else, it will serve as a tribute to Sharon's memory, and who knows, they might find a vaccination if there is enough funding.
